Dr. Tibb is a front line clinician, researcher and educator. He is currently the Chief Quality Officer of Valley Medical Group and the Chief of Palliative Care, Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ. He was previously the Medical Director of the Intensive Care Unit at Jacobi Medical Center in New York City and retains faculty position as Assistant Professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine where he has been awarded “Outstanding Teacher” for the last 3 years. Dr. Tibb is Board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Diseases, Critical Care, Neurocritical Care and Palliative & Hospice Medicine. After pursuing a fellowship in medical simulation, Dr. Tibb held faculty position at the Institute of Medical Simulation and Learning (IMSAL). Dr. Tibb has been faculty for several Critical Care Ultrasound courses over the last 4 years and has given grand rounds on integration of Ultrasound in the Intensive Care Unit both nationally and internationally. In addition, Dr. Tibb completed a fellowship in Clinical Quality and Patient Safety and has been recognized both locally and nationally with several awards for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. In both 2013 & 2014 he received the ‘GAGE’ award from America’s essential hospitals for “Palliative Care Integration in the ICU” & “CAUTI reduction – Journey towards ZERO” respectively. He is a standing Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He lives in New York City with his wife and 2 children.
